Bandung International School

Welcome to Bandung International School, our dynamic family school serving the multicultural community in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia.

Henri and Aceh Students

At BIS we are concerned with developing the concept of what it means to be "internationally educated" and integrating this into the life of our school. We strive to build on the common factors that bring our multicultural community together. We seek to engage our students in an education, which will help them to develop into knowledgeable, open-minded, well-balanced and reflective thinkers and inquirers, who are principled, caring, and prepared to take risks. We encourage them to be aware of their own creative, physical, social and emotional selves; and to communicate well, so that they will become effective local, national and world citizens.

We emphasise the process of learning while acquiring knowledge and skills. We educate to enhance understanding, tolerance and respect between different nations, cultures and societies. To this end, we draw on the rich cultural and linguistic diversity of the community we serve and of our host nation, Indonesia. We believe that such a learning environment will result in our students achieving their full potential. We believe it will equip them to make a successful transition to different educational environments, to cope with the demands of the world into which they will enter as young adults, and to embrace leadership rules as they occur.

Our team of outstanding professional staff is rich in experience of education in an international context, and seeks to offer students the best in instruction and support throughout their time with us.

This Web site is designed to inform you of the many and varied aspects of our school and the people who make it such a challenging, rewarding and enjoyable place to which to belong.
